CAF asks me for a refund

It is important that you fill in the information requested by the CAF in a clear, precise and honest way, and that you also update this information.

Indeed, the CAF will base itself on your declarations to grant you, or not, the various available aids in accordance with a very precise scale.

The CAF can, for a period of 2 years, ask you to reimburse the benefits paid wrongly. The period increases to 5 years if it finds fraud in your application.

⚠️ - Be careful, if you don't want to pay back or if it's fraud, then you could have penalties in addition to the repayment of your debt or the CAF could take legal action against you!

How do you pay them back?

It's pretty simple, and you can even do it online!

1. Log on to the CAF website
2. Go to the section "My debts"
3. Click on "Repay online" to repay all or part of your debt
4. Once in this section, you will be able to choose to pay back a global amount or an amount per debt
5. A summary of the amount you wish to pay back will be displayed
6. You will be able to modify, cancel and make your payment
