I don't have a residency permit, can I still have the French Health insurance? ⛑️

You should know that any person who resides in a stable and regular manner in France for more than three months is entitled to coverage of his or her health care expenses thanks to "La protection universelle maladie (PUMa)".

So even if you don't have a valid residence permit, or you're waiting for one, you have the right to be covered for your health expenses.

We'll explain how to apply for it ✨

1. Fill out form S1106 "application for health insurance coverage."

2. Return the form to the health insurance fund in your city of residence with the requested supporting documents (the list is on the form)

3. The contact details of your health insurance fund are available on ameli.fr, under "Addresses and contacts".

Once your file has been processed, you will receive a provisional social security number to be reimbursed for your health expenses.
