Travelling in France and Europe

The train is the easiest way to travel in France and Europe. It would be a shame not to take advantage of it! ✨

The SNCF, a public company, is in charge of the entire transportation network and offers many travel options with fares to suit everyone!

✔️ Buy tickets:

To determine your route and buy your tickets, the best option is to use the app or book your tickets on the SNCF website.

You can also buy your tickets at a train station or SNCF shop/automation.

Be careful, prices can fluctuate, and you'll more easily find good deals on the app or by buying your tickets on the website.

🎒 Carte Jeune:

The Carte Jeune is a card that costs 50€ per year and allows you to take the TGV, intercity and TER trains with up to 50% discount on your travels. It is a very good investment. You can even find discounts to buy it at a lower price.

It's available at train stations or on the website.

🗺️ TGV max

If you are a frequent traveler, then this card is for you!

From €79/month, you can book all TGV and intercity trains in France to all available destinations for free!

To benefit from this solution, you must subscribe online, and you will need your French address as well as the following documents

  • Passport photo
  • Identity document
  • Residence permit
  • IBAN

✈️ Plane, bus or carpool:

Plane, bus, or even carpooling (quite trendy in France) are also good options for traveling in France!

Surprisingly, traveling by plane is sometimes cheaper than traveling by train. So don't forget to check out the airfare before you buy your tickets.

Taking the bus is also an easy and cheap way to travel in France and Europe

Car sharing (or carpooling) has become the most economical way to travel, while giving you the opportunity to share part of your trip with many potential friends.
