How do I update my information with the CAF?
You must tell the CAF quickly about any change that could affect your aid, so that it can pay you the right amount. If you don't, you may have to repay money and could face a penalty.
Changes to declare include:
- a new address, or moving abroad;
- living with a partner, or separating;
- starting or stopping work, or a change in income;
- getting or losing a grant;
- the end of your studies;
- a new residence permit: send it to the CAF as soon as you receive it, as your aid can be suspended if your file doesn't contain a valid one.
To declare a change, log in to your account on caf.fr, choose the option to declare a change, select the type of change and follow the steps. You can also declare it in person at your CAF.
