How do I apply for a residence permit?

You want to stay in France longer, but your residence permit will expire soon? Apply for a renewal online, 3 months before the expiration date! ✌️

The different renewable residence permits

- The long-stay visa valid as a residence permit (VLS-TS).

If you have a VLS-TS visa and want to stay in France to continue your studies, you must apply for a multiannual residence permit. You need to pay for this procedure : from 79€ by tax stamps + 16€ if you do not present your temporary residence permit.

The first multiannual residence permit that you will receive under certain conditions will be valid for the number of years of study you still have to do in France.

- The multiannual residence permit

If you already have a multiannual residence permit, you can request its renewal. There is also a cost for this procedure, and the card is valid for the number of years of study you have left in France.

If you have just finished your bachelor's degree and are entering a master's program, your multiannual residence permit will be valid for the next two years.  😉
