I want to open a bank account what are the documents to bring ?

You have just arrived in France and you have many payments to make? You should know that having a bank account is very practical because it allows you to pay your utilities and rent easily, to apply for CAF and AMELI health insurance but also to avoid paying charges by using the bank card of your country.



When you open your account, you will be asked for some documents :

• Your identity card or passport
• Proof of address (lease, electricity bill, etc.)
• And a specimen of your signature, i.e. a model of your signature so that the bank can recognise your signature when you deposit a cheque in the bank, for example.
